I just went to Gatlinburg with my best friend, Hope Handelsman. Sarah, (Hopes sister) was going to come as well, but something came up and she couldn't make it. We drove early in the morning and only stopped a couple of times. The car ride there was... Different. We had forgotten to pack anything to do in the car, so we did some really random stuff and tried to film the other person doing it.
We had to stop at Walmart once because my mom had forgotten her hair curler, and we had to stock up on food for the hotel. We had been constantly listening to Sail on Hopes iPhone and I spotted a display of pool noddles.I grabbed one and screamed, "SAIL!" Hit Hope on the head with it, them ran in the other direction. We continued to chase each other with noodles until my mom yelled at us. We ended up buying the noodles, but someone stole them but we didn't care because there pool noodles.
The first thing I remember seeing was the old-timey photo shop. It was where you could put on clothes from the 1800's and take some awesome pictures. No one wanted to take the pictures except myself, so I was disappointed. A couple of days later, we were all waiting on a train, and so we decided we could go look around. I convinced everyone to take a few pictures, and finally they agreed. So Hope and I started trying on everything.
At first we thought the Southern Belle outfit looked the best with all the fun colors and frilly dresses, until we saw the saloon girl outfit. We quickly changed I to that and the lady taking our pictures said to go sit on top of the bar. She came over with fake guns, and money bags. She spilt the props between us, and we looked amazing!
My favorite part of taking the pictures was when the lady told us not to smile, so I stopped and she started taking more pictures until she put her camera down and stared at Hope. I looked over at her and she had tears going down her face from smiling and laughing so hard. Suddenly everyone in the shop was laughing and crying all at once, and Hopes hat fell of her head and I dropped my guns... Twice! I had such a great time and our pictures turned out great.
